Live like we’re dying

I was listening to Pandora while editing pictures today and this song by Kris Allen came on called Live like we’re dying. Its got a catchy beat, and great lyrics.

Today was so much fun as it became a winter wonderland were I work. {Which is up hillside of a mountain, in a log cabin none the less} BUT coming home was less than fun. It was actually quite frightening. There was a snow storm that started really bad an hour before it was time for me to head home. I have never prayed so much while driving, there were several times when I was sure I was going to have to pull over and spend the night in the car. But God kept me safe; not once did my car slide, or lose control, or  stall. Instead I was able to make it home. Granted I was going 15-25mpg on the freeway as I could not see more than 50 feet in front of me MAX and I was driving mountainside which is extremely windy and dangerous. I am so thankful to be home. I was never more relieved to pull into my driveway as I was tonight.

Today’s pictures I believe could all be titled under ‘Wonder & Awe’. The girls were so excited & amazed by the snow.

I do not claim to be a professional photographer. I am simply learning to photograph, learning my style…This is my journey to become a professional photographer 🙂

{Finally Arrived}

The snow is FINALLY falling here.

I woke up this morning looked out the window to see the state of the weather and just saw cloudy skies. So I did my normal routine got changed, grabbed my coffee mug, opened the door to our apartment to go to breakfast and walked out to see these little white dust particles flying around. I thought to myself wow that sure looks like snow. Insert me looking up at the sky and see millions of little snowflakes falling from the sky. I bolted back into the apartment and scream whispered {everyone else was sleeping} to my roommate “ITS SNOWING ITS SNOWING!”. And here began a happy day in my life!

Now I am sitting in the cafe looking outside in a xmas lighted window waiting for the snow to come back. Watching everyone rushing inside to stay warm, since no one was expected this cold of weather let alone snow. While others are upset about it, I am unashamed to say Ive been praying for it.

Just had to share my excitement!
